Kinesiology for Grief…
Kinesiology – the movement of energy, emotion and pain – is a powerful support and complimentary therapy, designed perfectly for living with, and through, grief.
Grief is the experience, the feelings, the physical changes and the loss of spirit … in the wake of loss.
Traditionally, we think of grief after the loss of a loved one… but in fact, we can experience grief after any significant loss – a job, a pet, a marriage, or relationship, a dream, your health, fertility or financial stability.
When we are in the midst of grief, we feel it, smell it, move with it, breathe with it.. it encompasses every cell and it seems it will never lift.
Often there are many other emotions that accompany grief – including anger, guilt, confusion, hopelessness, and helplessness.
This in itself can be confusing – the mix of emotions that come and flood your system, and are then replaced by something just as strong so quickly.
Whether your loss was expected, or a sudden shock, your mind, body and spirit may disconnect, may find it difficult to move freely in the same direction, and you may feel scattered, split and broken.
“What they never tell you about grief is that missing someone is the simple part.”
Gail Caldwell
With all of this – this big cauldron of symptoms and feelings – what will help you feel lighter, able to join in life again and feel physically more at ease…?
The many aspects of working with Lisa, to help support you in the midst of your grief, will bring a renewed sense of self, a renewed energy for living and a deep healing allowing you to flow and find balance again.
The gentle, yet powerful work of Kinesiology to help you in the midst of grief – of working with your mind-body connection – using quiet inquiry, honouring what is lost, and shifting the beliefs and perspectives and body feels, that keep you tight and heavy, you will feel able to lift your head once again, and even find s gentle calm and peace inside again.
Fear, though hard to acknowledge, is often the big emotion that comes with grief – fear of the unknown – what will life be like after the great loss?
Fear changes how we think, feel, respond and move.
And, so in grief, fear plays tricks with us…
How will I…?
What will happen when…?
Who will I be now…?
I will be so lonely…?
How can I survive…?
How can I pay the rent/mortgage..?
All these questions and fears that come in the wake of loss, in the depth of grief, take our trust away, strip us of hope and of any sense of self-confidence.
Kinesiology will help support your whole system, every cell in your body and every atom of your being, to find balance and steadiness in the confusion and fear…
Reconnecting your mind, body and spirit is a major part of the work of Kinesiology – so that you feel whole, lighter and heal all parts of you together
By gently changing of the frequencies that grief has created in your body, using acupressure points, flower essence, essential oils, breath work, sound healing therapies and light healing tools, and more, these frequencies can be altered, be brought back into tune and balance, so that you can move again, breathe deeply again, and find a trust in your future again.
Each one of us will ‘feel’ and ‘do’ grief differently – and there is no judgement in that, no guilt or shame in that.
You are feeling the loss of someone or something important to you – honour that – honour that you have lost someone or something that matters to you.
In the midst of your grief, you MUST offer yourself gentleness, self-compassion and time…
You may give yourself time to be curious – about what the future looks like now... about the possibilities of a new life, the new relationships, the new work opportunities… picturing these with a gentle shifting, rather than fear, is a soft and beautiful opening to what may be next, what may be on the other side of your pain.
Learning to live differently in your ‘new normal’, in the midst of your grief and loss, learning a new mind-body-spirit relationship, and learning to honour what you need to find balance again are all steps needed to cope and heal yourself in the midst of your grief.
The work of Kinesiology is all about balancing your mind, body & spirit – while you are experiencing grief – to help you feel more settled, safe and confident in yourself and your new future.
