What is  Wayapa Wuurk?

  • Wayapa Wuurk is an ‘earth connection’ practice – connecting your mind, body & spirit to all of creation – incorporating narrative mindfulness and movement together – to create an ‘old world’ sense of ‘being’ and connection.
  • Wayapa Wuurk is based on Aboriginal wisdom that focuses on taking care of the Earth as the starting point for creating Earth-Mind-Body-Spirit well-being.
  • Wayapa Wuurk was developed by Jamie Marloo Thomas and Sarah Jones, and is the only (at the time of writng this) Indigenous based acreddited practitioner training…
  • While Wayapa Wuurk is not an Aboriginal ‘cultural exchange’, it is based and founded on Aboriginal ideas of connection, responsibility and equality.
  • Wayap Wuurk becomes a lifestyle choice –  an everyday practice that brings calm, flow & balance into your life and environment.
  • Wayapa Wuurk makes space and time for your ancestor wisdom, within your cells, to find a place in your present life, so that you can flourish and ‘be’ you.

What can a Wayapa Wuurk practice help with?

In our modern world, where people have never been more ‘connected’ and informed , there has also never been so much loneliness, depression, anxiety and ‘lifestyle’ illnesses.

The Wayapa Wuurk Practice simply disconnects you from the ‘pressure’, ‘FOMO’ and ‘swiping’ of modern life – and reconnects you to the earth, trees, sky, waters and animals, so that you feel grounded, calm and steady.

If you experience anxiety, ADHD, loneliness, pain, feeling disconnected, overwhelm, stress or feeling lost…

After only a short period of practice, you will find yourself feeling calmer, more focused, creative, connected, confident, in flow, balanced and also able to trust your own innate wisdom.

Benefits of a Wayapa Wuurk Practice

“Today, for most of us, we have become disconnected from our environment, from our tribe, from our food and from our Spirit. Through a combination of Earth mindfulness, narrative meditation, a series of physical movements and taking action to look after the planet, Wayapa® provides a sense of belonging to the Earth while creating holistic well-being.”

“I believe that we are all Earth people, some are just more disconnected than others. As a descendant of the First Peoples, it is my responsibility to share my connection to this Earth and teach others how to respect and care for her, to heal her and let her heal us. So that is why Wayapa was created.
